In 1974, in an impossible, delirious and brilliant book, French philosopher Jean-François Lyotard proposed thinking about capitalism as a “libidinal economy”. In other words, submitted to the same principles that rule unconscious impulses and desire. The proposition of this workshop is to think about capitalism as a libidinal economy with the help of Lyotard’s conceptual tools, which you do not need to be familiar with in order to follow, and imagine adequate forms of resistance, sabotage and interruption.
