Reading Practices: Atlas das Utopias Reais
13 March
saturday march 13th 3pm
TBA Zoom Room
With interpretation in portuguese sign language
The various chapters of this atlas, published by geographer Ana Estevens, with Isabel André and Leandro Gabriel, follow a course that starts with a brief reflection on the meaning of real utopias and their connection with emotional geography, clearly expressed through the imprints that artistic creation leaves on landscapes. In this encounter, we talk to Ana Estevens about the process and its intentions.
In this Reading Practice session, the conversation will focus on two chapters. If in a first part we will talk about who are the creatives of and in the city and what are the artistic, creative and cultural activities and professions, in a second moment of the conversation we will visit specific territories – Mouraria in the center of Lisbon and Vale da Amoreira in Moita – and the role of creativity in the production of real utopias.
