ATHENA FARROKHZAD (born 23 August 1983) is an Iranian-Swedish poet, playwright, translator and literary critic.

Suite em Branco by Swedish-Iranian poet Athena Farrokhzad tells the story of a refugee family in a black discursive line on a white background. We will read it and comment on its themes such as Iranian oppression of women and issues of identity and translation born from forced migrations. How do you speak in the language of another? Who listens? What is understood? What is lost from our language? What do we betray?
