Dos Teleteatros a Bissauflix

In Guinea-Bissau, vernacular audiovisual, called teleplays, is growing exponentially. They are informally sold in markets or shared on the internet, portraying ordinary events, achieving thousands of viewers inside the country and its diasporas. These teleplays and their modes of production constitute valuable sources for understanding ironies and paradoxes of Guinea-Bissau’s contemporary history.
