On occasion of the launch of the website of the ReMapping Lisbon and Hamburg, Places of (Post)Colonial Memory project, spearheaded by the Goethe-Institut, a series of open discussions about the city are taking place in various locations, including the TBA. The presentation of the project will serve as an occasion to debate themes including the visible marks of colonialism on the city and the bodies of its inhabitants; the anticolonial struggle and African and Afro-descendant inscriptions in metropolitan spaces; or, more comprehensively, policies, approaches and challenges of the “decolonization” process in European cities. These debates will include the insight of scholars, activists and journalists.
