Ian Nagoski became a legend in Baltimore, USA, for being an avid record collector. The only rule: do not buy discs in English. Now, he is an archivist, researcher and editor of the forgotten songs that Middle Eastern immigrants in the USA created and produced in that diaspora. On 19 June 2019, he presented his conference DON’T LET ME BE LOST TO YOU: EARLY 20TH CENTURY NEAR-EASTERN MUSIC IN NEW YORK CITY at CAB – Centro Coreográfico de Lisboa under the (Almost) Teatro do Bairro Alto program.
