One week dedicated to our Discourse programme
On October 17th and 20th, TBA pays special attention to our Discourse programme. Over the weekend, after the postponements caused by the pandemic, a performance-conference by Felipe Ribeiro finally takes place in the main room of the TBA. About the eroticism of Brazilian funk and the questions it raises about structural machismo and the impact it has on the queer scene. On the same day, a second cycle session dedicated to Mark Fisher follows. In a collective listening session, with live conversation, Mariana Pinho invites Carolina Borges to reflect on the work of Ghosts of my life - Writings on depression, hauntology and lost futures. On Wednesday, at 6:30 pm in the Sala Manuela Porto, Paulo Pires do Vale talks with Emília Brederode Santos and Susana Duarte about the National Plan for the Arts that articulates education and culture and the challenges they pose to schools and cultural institutions.
